From 5.5.2025 a travelling panel exhibition of OP JAK will take place in 4 cities. The exhibition panels were created on the basis of photographs  took in our institutions and published on the OP JAK website in the form of a photo essay.  

The Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences has joined EBRAINS AISBL as an Associate Member, strengthening its links to Europe’s digital research infrastructure for brain science. This partnership opens new opportunities for international collaboration and advanced research.

The 27th annual Week of the Brain festival took place from 9 to 15 of March 2026. It is a unique cycle of lectures on the newest discoveries and trends in brain research and neuroscience, which is a part of the Brain Awareness Week (BAW), the world's largest public awareness campaign on the success and benefits of brain research. On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Dr. Julius Šimko, Ph.D., from the Department of Neurology gave a lecture titled “Epilepsy: An Active Approach,” with the subtitle “The Active Approach of the Physician and Patient as a Key Factor in the Successful Diagnosis and Treatment of Epilepsy.”

11th of February is a date of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. On this occasion, an interview was conducted with Dr. Qianli Meng, Ph.D., who works at a project's partner institution Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové. Dr. Meng is involved in the BRADY project since 2024 and she works on work package number 2.

On Wednesday December 10th a meeting of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) of the BRADY Project took place at the Czech Academy of Sciences (Národní 3) under a official name „Brain Dynamics Conference 2025“. The meeting focused on evaluating the project's results to date and formulating recommendations for its further development and implementation in the coming period. 

On February 9th 2026 a workshop titled "Metacentrum workshop: How to make the most of national grid infrastructure" will take place at the Institute of Computer Science.

On December 10, 2025, a meeting of the International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) of the BRADY Project will take place at the Czech Academy of Sciences on Národní třída in Prague.

On September 25th to 27th, the Brain Dynamics Workshop took place in the building of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University, attended by almost 70 people from the Institute of Computer Science, Second Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of medicine in Hradec Králové, National Institute of Mental Health and already mentioned Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The workshop was divided into three thematic parts: Schizophrenia - Multimodal imaging (Chair: Filip Španiel), Psychedelics (Chair: Jiří Horáček) and Brain stimulation (TMS, ...) (Chair: Jan Kremláček). 

This one-day workshop brings together leading researchers and clinicians to explore the latest advances in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), focusing on the full pathway from methodological innovations to cognitive and clinical applications. The event features three thematic sessions.

Epilepsy remains a complex neurological condition, necessitating innovative approaches to understanding and mitigating seizure activity. This workshop is designed to bring together computational neuroscientists and researchers with experimental and clinical background to explore cutting-edge strategies in epilepsy modeling and seizure control. For the general content structure, we plan to start from a modeler's perspective and then progressively move towards more data-driven approaches. 

On 29 April, a kick-off meeting of the BRADY project was held at the Academy of Sciences building on Národní třída in Prague, which was combined with a workshop for expert teams. The meeting and workshop was attended by nearly 70 people, mainly scientists involved in the project. Among the guests of honour were also representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. In addition, all project partners were represented, both from the scientific teams and from the administrative teams.
